Nurturing Faith, Discipline, and Excellence
More than just a subject — a transformative platform where students grow spiritually, morally, creatively, and socially.
The Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Department is more than just a subject — it is a transformative platform where students grow spiritually, morally, creatively, and socially. The department also encompasses Music and French, ensuring the development of well-rounded learners who are equipped for life beyond the classroom.
At its core, the department integrates faith, learning, and creativity into a unified educational experience. Department activities span across CRS classes, Bible studies, memory verse recitations, music, drama, dance, and fellowship — all working together to shape students into disciplined, faithful, and excellent individuals.
A structured and consistent timetable from Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 4:50 PM, balancing academic instruction with spiritual development.
The CRS Department provides comprehensive teachings designed to nurture the whole student — spiritually, academically, and creatively.
In-depth Bible teachings on living a Christian life, with scripture memorisation and practical application to everyday situations.
Students are trained in various forms of prayer, developing a personal and active prayer life that carries them through all of life's moments.
Students watch and discuss animated Bible stories — including the popular Super Book series — bringing biblical lessons to life in an exciting way.
Students are prepared to deliver motivational speeches, developing confidence and public speaking abilities while inspiring peers and wider audiences.
Christian Fellowship forms a vital pillar of the department's weekly activities. Held every Friday, fellowship sessions are vibrant and interactive, incorporating songs, drama performances, dance, and scripture recitation.
Students are encouraged to take active roles in worship, ensuring that every individual participates meaningfully rather than as passive observers. These gatherings foster a strong sense of unity while cultivating a culture of consistent prayer and enthusiastic participation in spiritual activities.
Music is at the heart of the CRS Department, used both as a powerful tool for worship and as a means of teaching core Christian values. Students are trained to sing individually and within group settings, building vocal confidence and harmony skills.
They also have the opportunity to practice and perform with musical instruments, discovering and developing instrumental talents. Students participate in choreographed dances for school events, blending artistic expression with spiritual celebration to create memorable performances.
The French component of the department's curriculum is designed to introduce students to basic conversational French in an accessible and enjoyable way. Students practice essential greetings, short dialogues, and commonly used expressions that form the foundation of everyday French communication.
Beyond language acquisition, this component also serves to foster cultural awareness and appreciation, broadening students' perspectives and preparing them to engage respectfully and knowledgeably with diverse cultures and communities.
A consistent and structured approach to scripture memorisation and study forms a cornerstone of the department's academic and spiritual programme. Students participate in weekly memory verse recitations, building a repository of Biblical knowledge they carry throughout their lives.
A strong emphasis is placed not merely on memorisation but on actively applying scripture to daily life situations — ensuring that God's Word becomes a living guide for each student. This discipline builds broader life skills such as discipline, obedience, and the development of a godly character.
Students of the CRS Department are active and valued contributors to the school's most significant events throughout the year.
The department has introduced a structured behaviour tracking system to monitor and reward students' conduct on an ongoing basis. A behaviour chart records each student's conduct, providing transparency and accountability in the classroom.
To further incentivize good behaviour, weekly medals are awarded to the best-behaved students, creating a positive and motivating environment. Achievements — whether academic, spiritual, or behavioural — are duly recorded and celebrated to affirm students' progress and inspire continued excellence.
Students understand God's Word and develop a personal, meaningful prayer life.
Honesty, kindness, forgiveness, and respect — qualities that shape character and guide interactions in all areas of life.
Music, dance, drama, and public speaking allow every student to discover and express their God-given gifts.
Students lead prayers, address audiences, and perform on stage — building the confidence they need for life.
Basic French learning and cultural appreciation prepare students to thrive in an interconnected world.
Motivational speeches by students have moved and inspired not only their peers, but parents and guests as well.
The department has produced young instrumentalists and singers who have proudly showcased their talents to the school community and beyond.
Marked improvement in public speaking confidence and stage presence — even among previously shy or reserved students.
Students have successfully performed at every major school celebration, consistently raising the standard of excellence with each event.
Active and enthusiastic participation in fellowship continues to grow, reflecting the positive spiritual culture the department has cultivated.
Students leave the department academically excellent, spiritually grounded, and morally upright — ready for life beyond school.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.— Proverbs 22:6
The CRS Department remains a beacon of spiritual and moral formation within the school — continuously investing in the futures of its students.
